Julie and Kerrie
Our CHOICES nurses Julie (L) and Kerrie (R)

A free, confidential and friendly service for young people aged 24 and under. 

Staffed by:  

Julie is Team Lead for CHOICES. 

Julie is qualified midwife, specialising in contraception and sexual health. She has 25 years’ knowledge and experience within the NHS.

Julie always has a happy smiley face, that always makes people feel comfortable and at ease.

Julie loves singing and quite often breaks into song. 


Kerrie is an invaluable member of the CHOICES team.

Kerrie has many years of experience to bring to her role as senior health care assistant.

Kerrie loves young people and making them feel at ease and comfortable and normally likes to talk about make-up, handbags and shoes.

Kerrie has 2 children, and had her first at 18 years old so has first-hand experience of being a young parent in the 21st century.


The service offers:

  • Testing and treatment for sexual infections

  • Contraceptive pills

  • Contraceptive injection

  • Contraceptive implant

  • Emergency contraceptive pill (morning after pill)

  • Free pregnancy testing, and referral for abortion (or to a midwife)

  • Free condoms

Please be aware that in order to best meet demand clinics will sometimes be appointment led, this will then affect the number of walk-in patients we can see in that session. 

If we are unable to meet your needs on the same day our staff will endeavour to find another clinic you can be seen at within 48 hours.

Please note:

  • Clinics held in schools, colleges and universities will run during term time only and can be used by students studying there.

  • Clinics held in medical/health centres and youth venues will be closed during all public bank holidays.
